Assesses people with internet, gaming and gambling problems using standardized assessment tools * treatment plans, including referrals to other organizations where appropriate * phone consultations are available by contacting the Internet, Gaming Disorders and Problem Gambling Services intake line Treatment planning and community-based outpatient treatment for people with an internet, gaming or gambling problem Approach is client-centered, offering support and assistance for abstinence, moderation, or harm reduction goals * referrals are made to other services as needed for related issues * counselling for people and significant others is offered on a one-to-one, couple, family and group basis * specialized counselling services for youth, young adults and older adults (55+) * consultations and ongoing counselling are available by phone or in person * counsellors are able to work with clients on co-occurring substance use issues if requested |
