Service Description: Advocates and provides programs and services for people with mental disorders * enhances, maintains and promotes mental health in Huron and Perth Counties * new office location in Goderich, contact Stratford office to access services
 
Community Support Program - Case Management - Ongoing support to people affected with serious mental illness * services may include: community connections, housing, financial planning, income budgeting, family relationships and education about mental illness
 
Community Support Program - Concurrent Disorders - Provides assessment and linkages to treatment and rehabilitation services for people with mental illness who also have an addiction to drugs and alcohol
 
Community Support Program - Court Support Services - Specialized case managers provide assistance to people with mental illness who come in conflict with the law * additional supports may include: court diversion plans, pre-charge diversion, release from detention facilities and support and consultation to staff working in the criminal justice system
 
Education - Workshops and educational presentations to help overcome the stigma of mental illness and support mental health * resource centre with books, videos and brochures
 
Family Support Program - Works with family members and friends to provide support in understanding mental illness
 
Peer Support - Provides support to develop peer friendships through group meetings which offer social and recreational activities planned by group members * peer mentors provide one-to-one support through regular meetings and activities
 
Rent Supplement Program - Provides rental assistance to eligible participants with a serious mental illness
 
Supported Housing Program - Affordable rental units * rental subsidy available based on income and evidence of a mental illness * support services provided to assist tenants in maintaining their residences * long and short term accommodation offered
