Service Description: 24-hour service available to adults who are experiencing a sudden or unexpected event that places them in distress

Distress situations can include, but are not limited to, suicidal thoughts or attempts, grief reactions, distressing mental health symptoms * referral to appropriate agencies and follow-up service to ensure that appropriate community linkages are in place

Calls from people looking for social contact due to boredom or requesting transportation are not appropriate

Note: Children and Youth - Can be accessed by child and youth after regular business hours (including weekends) * during business hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm the Oxford-Elgin Child and Youth Centre can be contacted at 519-539-0463 or 1-877-539-0463 for urgent or crisis assistance
