Health centre focused on family and community health * health professionals assess and treat non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses * referrals to other local health services and personal development groups Community-led health teams develop programs to improve the social supports and conditions that affect long-term health Anger Management for Men - 5 week session designed to provide practical information and help develop the skills needed to manage behaviours Anger Management for Women - 5 week session designed specifically for women * provides practical information and help to develop the skills needed to manage behaviours Anonymous HIV Testing - Provided by Regional HIV/Aids Connection in partnership with Options Clinic Asthma Monthly Clinic Day - CCHC clients with asthma can see asthma specialist nurse one Monday per month * pre- and post-spirometry, education and training * clients referred by CCHC nurse practitioner or physician Clinical Dietitian - Nutritional information and education * one-on-one, couple, or family sessions for people with food and health-related concerns Coffee Corner - Drop in for coffee and snacks * social visits with other clients and community members * every Tue 9:30am-11:30am Diabetes Information Sessions - Get to know more about Diabetes and You * guest speakers, giveaways, snacks and group support * third Thu of each month from 1:30pm-3:30pm Foot Care Clinic - Chiropodist (foot care specialist) assesses and treats common foot problems * includes basic foot care for both regular and clients living with diabetes Identification Clinic - Assists with form-filling for replacing lost or damaged identification cards such as birth certificates, Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) and health cards Knitting Group - Crochet, cross stitch or fabric arts group for people of all levels * every Mon 10am-11:30am Living Well with COPD - Self-management education program developed to help people with COPD and their family take charge and cop with their disease on a day-to-day basis Mindfulness and Mediation - Relaxation can have healing powers for our bodies and minds * learn some easy steps to a calmer state of mind Over 50 Drop-In - Coffee, discussion, excursions and guest speakers * meet new people and learn new things * second Thu of each month 9:30am-11:30am Quit Smoking Group - Group or one-one counselling sessions on everything you need to know as you work towards becoming a non-smoker Yoga - A certified yoga instructor will lead you through a 5-week basic beginner program that can be used at home |
