Investigates allegations of child abuse or neglect under the Child and Family Services Act * provides supports to children and families to maintain the children with family or in other kin placements * provides children with temporary and long-term care through alternate placement * supervision, counselling and group support to parents and families * handles adoptions and adoption disclosure Youth Homelessness Protocol - Participating agency for the Youth Homelessness Protocol, designed to assist youth ages 12-24 in Elgin County who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in finding a safe place to stay and to receive the supports needed to find safe long-term housing
