| Service Description: |
Children's mental health centre that provides assessment and treatment services to children and youth up to age 18 and their families * some adult services are provided to address issues that impact on children's mental health * clinician assessment is made at each request for service which includes discussion on any wait time that may apply Children's Programs: Outpatient services - One-on-one, family parent education and group services for children/youth with mental health issues up to 18 years of age Birth to Six Team - Specialized program for multi-need and/or complex-need children from birth to 6 years of age and their families Crisis Response - Daily 24 hours service for serious mental health crises, suicide risk or psychosis * offered in partnership with the Huron Perth Crisis Intervention Program * to access call 1-888-829-7484 Section 23 - Classrooms for children with significant mental health needs offered in partnership with the Huron and Perth county school boards Clinical Supports Intervention - Mobile service delivery involving several staff for children and youth struggling in multiple settings with multiple issues related to addictions, youth justice, homelessness and/or children in the care of the Children's Aid Society Telepsychiatry - Access to a range of psychiatrists by video-conference link * available in Clinton Local Resolution Team (LRT) - Planning to address complex needs and those needing an inter-agency response * works with the Community Services Coordination Network (CSCN) to provide access to residential services based on most in need School-based Services - Available in Avon Maitland Secondary Schools for the calendar year Sept-Jun Youth Justice Services to Youth on Probation - Mental Health staff work in conjunction with Child and Youth Workers to offer a range of community support and counselling * referrals through probation Adult programs: Renascence Program - Information and counselling services for women affected by abuse or family violence and/or sexual abuse Group Delta - Group counselling to help men and women stop abusive behaviour toward partners * court referral or voluntary clients Employee Assistance Programs - 519-482-9768 or 1-877-596-6626 - Counselling services provided to organizations seeking to offer counselling as a benefit to employees |
