Investigates allegations of child abuse or neglect under the Child and Family Services Act * provides children brought into the care of the agency with temporary or long-term care through placement in foster homes, group homes or institutions * supervision, counselling and group support to parents and families * pediatric and developmental assessments * handles adoptions and adoption disclosure * social workers available for educational/training events/presentation on the topic of child abuse Rural Abuse Helpline and Outreach - 24-hour helpline * telephone counselling for victims of child sexual abuse * referral to services in Huron and Perth Counties as appropriate * social workers available for educational/training events/presentation on the topic of child abuse |
