Administers and enforces the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations for the workers in various sectors including manufacturing, construction industry, mines and mining plants, logging, health care, service and retail Periodically inspects workplaces * investigates complaints, refusals to perform unsafe work, injury-causing incidents and fatalities * consults with labour and management to promote involvement in identifying and eliminating health and safety hazards in the workplace |
