On-site crisis intervention * safety planning * referrals to community
services * provision of cellular telephones for eligible victims *
enhanced support for vulnerable victims Assistance with application to Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP) -- immediate assistance with emergency expenses related to the incident, including accommodation, meals, transportation, dependent care costs, counselling and funeral expenses Trained volunteers respond on scene 24 hours a day to victims of crime or tragic circumstance by emergency service referral * response includes assessment, crisis intervention, emotional and practical support * follow-up support, information and referral |
