Service Description: On-site crisis intervention * safety planning * referrals to community services * provision of cellular telephones for eligible victims * enhanced support for vulnerable victims

Assistance with application to Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP) -- immediate assistance with emergency expenses related to the incident, including accommodation, meals, transportation, dependent care costs, counselling and funeral expenses

Provides support to victims of intimate partner abuse, sexual assault, stalking/harassment, elder abuse, suicide, property crime, sudden death, motor vehicle collision, fire, and natural disaster

VCAO programs work in partnership with local police and emergency services *  managed by volunteer community boards of directors

Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP)
- Eligible victims of violent crime may be referred to the VCAO program by a Police service after a crime has been reported or, in the case of domestic violence and sexual assault, by the community agency providing support services to victims and to which the crime was reported
