About Us
The Student Support Leadership Initiative (SSLI) is a province-wide initiative focused on enhancing the relationship between schools and community with the goal of supporting children and youth with mental health challenges. The group believes that supporting the mental health of children and youth is essential to a healthy community. An important way of meeting this goal is through the provision of current and relevant information to parents, educators and service providers. To this end, two regional SSLI groups, comprised of school and community partners, are working together to bring Mentalhealth4kids.ca to the local community. The Mentalhealth4kids website provides information on relevant services and resources for Elgin, Huron, London/Middlesex, Perth and Oxford Counties and a calendar lists upcoming events, groups and programs. The website is hosted and managed by thehealthline.ca Information Network as part of its family of informational websites. The services directory is a sub set of the SouthWesthealthline.ca database of health and social services for South West Ontario. Learn how to use the site using the online tutorial and watch video highlights and participant comments from the Mentalhealth4kids.ca launch event for London/Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin that was held on February 12, 2010.
